The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Monroe County, with construction about to begin on the US 209 bridge in Hamilton Township.

Staged construction will begin on Thursday, July 20 at the US 209 bridge over Appenzell Creek. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction during construction. The work is expected to be complete by December, and will be performed by Clearwater Construction. The crossing was built in 1963 and averages 6600 vehicles a day.
