The scheduled closing of the bridge carrying West Woodview Road (Route 3044) over Middle Branch of White Clay Creek in London Grove Township, Chester County, has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to close for construction during the week of September 25.
Construction is now expected to begin during the week of October 2 and be complete in mid-December. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along West Woodview Road, Route 796 (North Jennersville Road), West Baltimore Pike (Route 3026) and North Guernsey Road (Route 3044).
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may still change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-212 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
