June 23, 2017
Deck resurfacing work on the Route 208 (Pulaski) Road bridge, spanning a branch of Deer Creek in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County will require an extended road closure from June 19 through June 26. The previous closure was to expire on June 23, but due to unfavorable weather, the closure has been extended until the roadway resurfacing can be completed. The culvert replacement work was completed last year and this work will finalize this project.
While the road is closed, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 422 (Benjamin Franklin Highway) and Route 551. Motorists are asked to use caution while driving in the area.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-466 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
