Work to replace the bridge carrying Race Street over Catasauqua Creek, between Pineapple Street and Front Street in Catasauqua Borough, Lehigh County, will begin in the spring of 2019 to avoid potential lane closures during winter months of 2018. The
six-month long project was previously scheduled to begin this summer as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
Additional details on the new construction timeline and traffic control measures will be publicized and posted on the Plenary Walsh and Keystone Partners (
PWKP) website at www.parapidbridges.com prior to the start of construction in 2019.
