Public Open House Planned for Potter County Bridge Replacement Projects

The community is invited to a public open house regarding the replacement of six Potter County bridges included in the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. The open house will be focused on important information including the construction schedules and traffic changes that are planned to take effect while the bridges are being replaced.

Bridges:              

Route 6 (Port Allegany Road) bridge, spanning Dingman Run in Coudersport Borough (JV-79)

Route 44 (Pine Hill Road) bridge, spanning Little Kettle Creek near the village of Carter Camp in Abbott Township (JV-80)

Route 44 (Steer Brook Road) bridge, spanning South Branch of Oswayo Creek in Hebron Township, about a mile southeast of the village of Hebron Center (JV-81)

Route 44 bridge, spanning Clara Creek near the village of Clara in Clara Township (JV-82)

Route 44 bridge, spanning Wildcat Creek near the village of Sharon Center in Sharon Township (JV-83)

West Main Street (Route 4026) bridge, spanning Fishing Creek in Roulette Township, near the village of Roulette (JV-88)

Location:               Coudersport Borough Maintenance Building
46 Damascus Street, Coudersport, PA 16915

Date:                     Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 4 – 5:30 p.m.

Representatives from Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners will be available to discuss the bridge projects and answer questions. There will be no formal presentation. Construction plans will be on display for reference.  

A letter announcing the start of construction will be mailed out two weeks in advance to all project stakeholders. You will be given the opportunity to sign up as a project stakeholder the night of the open house

These bridges are referred to as JV-79, JV-80, JV-81, JV-82, JV-83 and JV-88. They are six of 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
