The bridge carrying Morrow Road over McLaughlin Run in Upper St. Clair Township, Allegheny County, was closed to traffic early this morning after severe flooding in the area caused damage to the roadway approaches and bridge.  Morrow Road is officially designated as State Route 3008.  This bridge was replaced last December as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

The bridge will remain closed until further notice to allow crews to assess the damage and schedule repair work. During the closure, traffic will be detoured by way of McLaughlin Road (Route 3004), Lesnett Road (Route 3034) and Mayview Road (Route 3005).
