Construction crews completed another bridge replacement project in Montour County today, as the Preserve Road (SR 1006) crossing over a branch of the Chillisquaque Creek reopened in Anthony Township.
The bridge was closed for reconstruction in early July and reopened to traffic this afternoon. The work was performed by Walsh Construction II. The new crossing is longer and wider than the one it replaced and is designed to last as long as 100 years.
