Lane Closure Planned on SR 044 Bridge 1.9 Miles Northwest of Jerseytown JV-101

Montoursville, PA – Motorists should prepare for daytime lane closures on the bridge carrying SR 00044 over the east branch tributary to Chillisquaque Creek in Jerseytown Township, Columbia County, from 9 Am to 6 PM beginning Monday, October 29, through Thursday, November 1, for routine bridge and roadway maintenance work.

Drivers are reminded to obey flaggers and traffic control signals and drive with caution through the work zone as slowdowns may occur.

In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.

This bridge was replaced as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Rapid Bridge Replacement in 2016. The bridge is referred to as JV-101 and is one out of 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
