The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Union County in August with the reconstruction of two bridges in Buffalo and Kelly townships. Replacing these bridges will allow PennDOT to remove them from Union County’s structurally deficient list.

- The state-owned bridge in Buffalo Township (JV135) is located on Route 1001 (Cross Roads Drive), spanning Spruce Run. Construction is expected to start in August and be complete in October.

- The state-owned bridge in Kelly Township (JV136) is also located on Route 1001 (Cross Roads Drive), spanning Spruce Run. Construction is expected to start in August and be complete in October. During this time, drivers will be detoured using State Route SR 1001 (Spruce Run Road), State Route 1004 (Cross Roads), State Route 1003 (Fort Titzell Road) and State Route 1002 (Col. John Kelly Road).
