Two cross-pipes carrying Calendar Run and a tributary to Calendar Run under US Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), in Shade and Stonycreek Townships, are scheduled to be replaced as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. These structures are located between Ridge Road and Peninsula Road.
Construction is expected to begin during the week of October 17 and be completed in November. During this time, drivers will encounter shoulder closures and alternating single lane flagging operations. Motorists are asked to use caution and drive slowly when driving in the area during this time.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
These structures are referred to as JV-344 and 345 out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
