Construction to Begin on Tioga County Bridge Project

The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Tioga County with the reconstruction of the Caitlin Hollow Road (State Route 4035) bridge (JV 134) over Caitlin Hollow Creek in Charleston Township.

The bridge is scheduled to close in mid-July and reopen to traffic in October 2016. Drivers will be detoured to State Route 287, US 6 and Charleston Road (State Route 4002) during this time. Truck drivers will be detoured to US 6 only. In the event of unfavorable weather or other unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.

Located between Ely Hill Road and Ikes Road, the crossing averages 1,743 vehicles a day.
