Construction for the Route 616 (Seven Valleys Road) bridge, spanning Centerville Creek in
Shewsbury Township, York County, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 21 as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
When the bridge closes for full replacement, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 216 (Glen Rock Road), Church Road (Route 3018), and Larue Road (Route 3016). The bridge is anticipated to be complete in September.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-299 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
