Construction on the bridge carrying Golf Course Road (State Route 4011) over Carbaugh Run in Franklin Township, Adams County, is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 23, as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
When the bridge closes for full replacement, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 30, a Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Access Road on Rocky Mountain Road and State Route 233. Construction is anticipated to be complete in early October.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-235 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
