The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Fayette County with the start of construction on a bridge beginning in July.
The SR 1050 (Englishman Hill Road) bridge over Mounts Creek in Bullskin Township (JV-493) is scheduled to start July 21. The bridge will be built one-half at a time allowing one lane of alternating traffic controlled by a traffic signal to remain open throughout the project. Construction of the bridge is expected to be completed in late November. The bridge was built in 1935 and averages 2,451 vehicles a day.
