Construction for the bridge carrying Jonestown Road (State Route 4013) over a Tributary to Raccoon Creek in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, has been rescheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 4, as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. The bridge was previously scheduled to close for construction during the week of August 27.
When the bridge closes for full replacement, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Harrison School Road and US 22 (Allentown Boulevard/William Penn Highway).
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule still may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-577 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
