October 17, 2016
Construction for the Route 11 bridge, spanning Salt Lick Creek in New Milford Township, has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin the week of October 17.
Construction is now expected to start the week of November 28 and be complete in mid-April 2017. During this time, alternating bi-directional traffic will be controlled by traffic signals.
Work will be performed by Walsh Construction II.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This Route 11 bridge is referred to as JV-144 out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
