Construction for the Bull Road (Route 4001) bridge spanning Fox Run at the Dover-Conewago-Manchester township line in York County has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin mid-April.
The bridge is now scheduled to be closed for construction Tuesday, April 18 and be complete in early-July. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 238 (Church Road), Greenbriar Road, and Route 921.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from York County’s structurally deficient bridge list.
This bridge is referred to as JV-306 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
