March 27, 2017

Construction for the Bull Road (State Route 4001) bridge spanning Fox Run at the Dover-Conewago-Manchester township line in York County has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin during the week of March 27.

The bridge is now scheduled to be closed for construction later in April. An announcement will be made when the new start date has been finalized.

In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.

Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from York County’s structurally deficient bridge list.

This bridge is referred to as JV-306 and is one out of the 559 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
