The Route 56 (Quaker Valley Road) bridge in Bedford County that was planned to be replaced this summer has been postponed. A release with full details on the new construction timeline will be distributed prior to the start of construction.

The bridge (JV 312) is located on State Route 56 (Quaker Valley Road) over Barefoot Run in West St. Clair Township. Once construction begins, traffic will be restricted to one-lane alternating in each direction, controlled by temporary signals.

The Quakers Valley Road Bridge is one of nine bridges in Bedford County that area planned to be replaced under the project.
