July 11, 2016

The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in McKean County in July with the reconstruction of a bridge in Keating Township. Replacing the bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from McKean County’s structurally deficient list.

The state-owned bridge (JV060) is located on Route 59 (Mt. Alton Ormsby Road), spanning a tributary to Kinzua Creek. Construction is expected to start during the week of July 25, with the closure of the bridge. During construction, drivers will be directed to a detour along Route 646 (Ridge Road) and Route 4003 (Bingham Road). Work is expected to be complete by late August.

In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change. If any such changes do occur, information will be distributed in a press release and posted on the project website here: www.parapidbridges.com/bridgeblog.
