The Rapid Bridge Replacement project team completed a bridge in Somerset County today, as the Route 2013 (Palo Alto Road) Bridge over Powder Run in Southampton Township opened to traffic. The bridge construction began in April with traffic using a temporary runaround with temporary traffic signals, and reopened Wednesday July 13. The work was performed by CH& D Enterprises of New Stanton, PA. The new crossing is longer and wider than the one it replaced and is designed with a 100 year life span.
Motorists may encounter occasional flagging operations for cleanup work the rest of the week.
