The public-private partnership project that’s rebuilding 558 bridges across Pennsylvania completed another bridge in Juniata County today, as the State Route 2006 (Cedar Spring Road) Bridge (JV055) over Doe Run in Walker Township opened to traffic.

Construction began July 27, with traffic utilizing a detour, and was completed on Tuesday August 9. The work was performed by Kevin E Raker Construction. The new crossing is longer and wider than the one it replaced and is designed with a 100-year lifespan.

Traffic will encounter short term flagging operations over the next few weeks to complete the rest of the construction activities.
