July 14, 2015

Two bridge projects are set to begin in Monroe County, during the week of July 27.

In Paradise Township, the Club House Drive bridge (JV 181) will close where it crosses Swiftwater Creek. The bridge was originally built in 1956 and averages 5523 vehicles a day. Once the closure occurs all Club House Drive traffic will detour to Lower Swiftwater Drive, SR 191, and SR 715. The work is scheduled to be complete early October.

In Hamilton Township, the Rimrock Road bridge (JV 194) will close where it crosses Pocono Creek. This bridge was constructed in 1956, and averages 2377 vehicles a day. Once the closure occurs all Rimrock Drive (SR 3023) traffic will detour to East Hamilton Road (SR 209) and SR 33. The work is scheduled to be complete in mid-November.
