July 11, 2017
The scheduled closing of the Route 74 bridge over Montour Creek in Tyrone Township, Perry County, has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin on July 13.
The bridge is now scheduled to be closed during the week of July 17 and be
complete in early September. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Erly Road (Route 4010), Mannsville Road, and Route 274.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-288 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
