September 11, 2017
The scheduled closing of the Knoxlyn Road (State Route 3013) bridge over Little Marsh Creek in Highland Township, Adams County, has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin during the week of September 11.
Construction is now expected to begin during the week of September 18 and be complete in late November. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 30 (Chambersburg Road), High Street, Old Route 30, Orrtanna Road (Route 3011), and Knoxlyn-Orrtanna Road (Route 3020).
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may still change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-232 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
